CLASS SUMMARY
6 WEEK CONDENSED COURSE in ORGANICS AND SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE:
Student will be able to have a better understanding to the types of self employment and/or employment in Sustainable Agriculture in the following categories:
t Sustainable Agriculture
t Organic Production Methods
t Hydroponics
t Green House Production
t Irrigation maintenance and installation and sales
t Farmers Market management
t Farm ownership and or Farm Management
Certificate and Work Skills Training Programs

Introduction to Resources for farm loan programs from Farm Service Agency, USDA, Whole Foods and private lending.
t Introduction to Small Business Association (SBA) and S.C.O.R.E. (Small business advisors)
t Building a Business plan model
t Resume building and introductions to Agriculture leaders who are hiring with questions and answers to what they look for
t One year follow up for employment opportunities / Business opportunities
t Third party administered exam for Certified Agriculture Irrigation Specialist, recognized nation wide
t Certificate of completion from Archi’s Acres, VSAT based on 70% or better on final exam
t Certificate from Mira Costa College
